Description
A 10 hectares former landfill site situated in a rural setting to the east of the village Alne in North Yorkshire. The site supports grassland as the main habitat type, with hedgerows, ditches, a small stream, an area of woodland with scattered trees and scrub. The land will be enhanced with new species-rich grassland and hedgerows, which we expect to see growing in abundance over the coming decades. By allowing nature to recover, our enhancements will offer a huge range of benefits to the local community. Some of these benefits include better air and water quality, locking up carbon, reduced flood risks, improved health and wellbeing and more nature-based economic opportunities. Also, by increasing biodiversity, it can help to increase food yield with an increased abundance of pollinators and improved soil health locally. As a dedicated landowner and operator, we will use our horticultural expertise to deliver and manage the best-in-class biodiversity scheme. We are excited to collaborate with developers and build long-term relationships, where we provide regular updates and invites to see the progression of biodiversity. We will provide both whole and fractional units to meet individual needs.
