Overview
Description
This site, which is located close to Sabden village, Lancashire, has a baseline made up predominantly of grasslands with pockets of woodlands throughout. The existing value of this site will be uplifted through habitat enhancement to create an exciting and ecologically valuable landscape consisting of habitats such as Wood-Pasture and Parkland, Fens, Ponds, Other Woodland; Broadleaved, Other Neutral Grassland, Mixed Scrub, Rural Trees and a range of hedgerow types. This site has the benefit of falling into two LPAs including Ribble Valley LPA and Lancashire LPA as well as two NCAs including Lancashire Valleys NCA and Bowland Fringe and Pendle Hill NCA. Whins Farm is also located within the Lancashire LNRS. This site has an HMMP in place and is in the process of entering into a conservation covenant .
