Description
This land holding at Malcoff, near Chapel-en-le-Frith in High Peak, Derbyshire has off-site Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) units. The farmland lies within the borough of High Peak, Derbyshire and is also within the Peak District National Park and is located just to the north east of Chapel-en-le-Frith. This land has been in the same family for three generations. The family are now exploring how they can create an economically viable farm, working with nature, and have thus bringing an early phase of their off-site BNG offer to the market. The full estate stretches to circa 45.80 hectares/110 acres with a first phase 1.6 hectares/3.95 acres of species poor agricultural grassland for use as BNG units. Based on the ecological surveys and Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan (HMMP) undertaken by Tyler Grange it is anticipated that up to 10.78 BNG units of upland acidic grassland meadow is available to purchase on this property. There is also the potential for scrub, wetland and river units on future phases of habitat creation.
