Overview
Description
The site currently comprises a grouping of fields with a mixture of arable rotation, woodland, modified grassland, and cover crop, forming a part of a multi-generational family farm, and located in an area with significant ecological potential. The arable parcels are being converted into pasture to be used for extensive grazing by cattle and sheep. The hedgerows are being enhanced, and new hedgerows will be planted on boundaries that are fenced. The net result is the transition to a more sustainable farming enterprise, delivering for people and nature. The site delivers almost 137 units, comprising a mix of habitat types (see below). There is also scope to deliver bespoke requirements through alterations to the existing scheme. The habitat improvement and creation is being secured through a 30 year legally binding agreement.
