King's Lynn and West Norfolk
Biofarm Restoration Site

Overview
Description
183.75 Biodiversity Units available in King's Lynn and West Norfolk LPA. This strategy focuses on the restoration of woodland and species-rich grassland to create stepping-stone habitat in the fragmented landscape, complementing adjacent areas of ecological importance. Surrounded by rich woodland and parkland, this site will become a key site for biodiversity and landscape quality within the North West Norfolk NCA. Conservation has historically been a focus at this location, with the estate being managed according to policy agreed with Natural England. To date, this has helped maintain a healthy population of species such as skylarks, partridge, and barn owls as well as a variety of flora and fauna. The habitat restoration plan provided here will play a strategic role in supporting the delivery of The West Norfolk Nature Network (WNNN) project, a farmer led project with aims to transform the woody landscape by creating swathes of contiguous multilayered successional scrub for wildlife movement and diversity enhancement.
