East Lindsey
Biofarm Restoration Site
Added on 09/12/2024
Overview
Description
Less than 1km from the shoreline and sandwiched between wildlife havens Anderby Marsh and Wolla Bank Pit Nature (SSSI), this site provides a multitude of opportunities for coastal habitat expansion and connection. The habitat strategy aims to expand upon and complement the patchwork of coastal floodplain grazing marsh (CFPGM), saltmarsh and flooded clay pits with extensive reedbeds, providing crucial habitat for waders such as snipe, curlew, lapwing, oystercatcher and sanderling. Overall, restoration here will help to preserve the recreational value of the coastline, contributing towards ecotourism and environmental education.
